Week 4: Under Six Inches of Snow

This week was a little less eventful than last week. There were no trips to the ER and no major scenes caused. We did, however, have one of the supposed three worst storms Nashville has ever seen. Interestingly enough, this “storm” was absolutely gorgeous as it released its wrath and wreaked havoc upon Music City. Nashville “worst storms” are so different from those had in Mobile that had us running north for cover, left us with trees down, took out our power, and caused flooding.
LifeWay even closed its doors early on Friday… I was told this has only happened three times in some twenty-eight years. Unfortunately, we were in the middle of the largest VBS event of the year and did not get to enjoy the benefits of early closure. I did get to stay in the hotel across from work so as to be available on Saturday and not worry about traveling to downtown. The way home was white, and I’m sure there were quite a few times I was owning both sides of road but didn’t know it since I couldn’t see the yellow lines. I had never driven in snow before, so that was interesting. I’ve decided I’m a fan of snow. It’s one of the things God created just so we could marvel at His glory. Although, I bet my neighbor who is moving in to their apartment today doesn’t think so highly of it today.
Helpful hint for the day: Don't wear Toms in the snow. I still can't feel my toes...

We have some of those other, not so fun storms later in the year; just wait til spring--tornado season.
