Week 5: Art Crawl

I have utterly failed this week at keeping up with the blogging. I guess the old mentality is loosely rooted in truth: your New Years resolution might last a month, if you are lucky, but I will not be conquered by that mentality.
With that disclaimer being said, I did stick to doing new things this week to tell you about. Saturday was completely full of new things.
9 am: Run 16ish miles through here while people looked at us funny for running in 32 degree weather, light snow, and crazy wind:
Only to realize Vanderbilt was not even halfway yet.

3:30 pm: Meet Elizabeth so that we could go here (Country Music Hall of Fame and see Elvis's car, lots of guitars and outfits, and more...for free.

5ish: After walking around downtown trying to decide where to eat... It was the best meal I've had in a long time...and included ice cream AND coffee. How can you possibly go wrong? I definitely recommend it!

6:30 pm: My first Nashville Art Crawl. It is officially my favorite event ever, and I will be scheduling the first Saturday of each month around them. It was here: in the Historic Arcade:
and we saw lots of these:

10 pm: Concert: Seth Philpott, Steve Moakler, and Andy Davis
Highlight of the concert: Steve Moakler opened with "American Pie," inserting lines from "Party in the USA..."

although, our seats were really, good at 9:30 pm, as it got more crowded it felt more like this:
and we didn't get to see much that went on from the stage... nonetheless a great concert and a great day of experiencing all new things. You should join us next month for the Art Crawl. I'm sure we'll make a day of it again and find lots of other stuff to do...

Needless to say, I slept really well last night after a super busy day.
